The Hash House
Harriers gather once a month and play a game called The Hounds and the
Hares. The Hares set a trail by throwing flower on the street and leaving
clues in colored chalk. The Hounds follow the trail to wherever it leads,
picking up clues, solving puzzles or riddles and completing tasks in order
to continue on the trail. There are waypoints where beverages can or
sometimes must be consumed before moving on. At the end of the trail
penalties are distributed to rule breakers in the form of penalty drinks,
songs are sung and car keys are confiscated. After your 6th Hash run you are
awarded with a Hash name. Most hashers only know their fellow hashers by
their fictitious Hash names. Find a Hash House Harriers club in your area if
you like crazy drunken outings with your friends. |
