Every year on the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend, the Schooner Wharf Bar in Key West hosts the Minimal Regatta. Race entrants are allowed one sheet of 1/4 inch plywood, two 2 by 4's, one lb of fasteners and one roll of duct tape to build a boat and propulsion system. The boats are then raced around a 100 yard course in Key West harbor.

This year the Lazy Dogs entered two boats paddled by Dr. Brad Makimaa and Capt. Dave Richard. Dr. Brad finished dead last in his heat, and Capt. Dave only managed to beat the boat that sank in his heat. Go Lazy Dogs!
