Photo's of the rare Western Caribbean Drop Gator

The rare and little known Western Caribbean Drop Gator makes it's home amongst the tropical Mangrove islands of the Western Caribbean and the Florida Keys. The female is primarily green in color while the adult males will also have orange coloring on their throat and belly. Using the root system and leafy vegetation of the Red Mangrove tree as protection and camouflage, the Drop Gator will climb into the branches of the tree, pick a choice overhanging limb in which to wait, and drop onto unsuspecting prey including boaters and kayakers.
