Hey everybody. Happy December. It
is not to far to Christmas .
If anyone wants to send me a
Christmas present just email me and
I will send my address along with my
list. Or maybe I should register at
PetSmart.
There is a posting on my other
blog about a friend of mine that
passed away today if anyone would
care to read it. It is kind of sad
though.
The weather here has finally started
to get cold although Dad, Mom and I
prefer it a little warmer. About
80-85 suits us fine.
Anyway Merry Christmas to all of the
blogging dogs; Gunny, Tucker,Riley,
Molly, Bonny, Shorty, Kodiak,
Anodyne, Tallulah, Chuck, and
Guinness.
Merry Christmas to little Tallulah
also. It is your first one. You
are going to get spoiled.

I hope that everyone had a Happy
Thanksgiving and that no one ate all of
the turkey themselves. It was great
here. We went to grandma and grandpa's
house. That was great for two reasons
First another car ride. I love riding
in the car on the highway. There are
all kinds of people that wave at you
when you go past them. Secondly, the
bike path goes right by their house.
They
said I had to get in a long walk before
everyone got to the house for lunch. We
walked about 5 miles that morning. I
got back just in time for everyone to
eat and I sat down to rest my eyes for
just a second and when I woke up all the
food was gone!! Thanks to dad for saving
a piece of turkey though.
Then
we made our way home. Mom had to get
ready to work all weekend. So, once
again it is just dad and myself. We had
the best time. We spent the whole
weekend at the dog park. It is great
because there are all kinds of dogs to
chase and be chased by. There are also
tables. Mom won't let me on the tables
at home. But here they are fair game.
Have a
great day everyone.

Way to go to all of the
Lazy Dogs. Congratulations on the float
again this year. The pictures look like
everybody had a fun time. Dad, mom and
I are sorry that we couldn't be there.
I got to celebrate two
big birthdays this week. I turned 5.
And mom turned twenty nine, again. It
seems like she has been twenty nine for
at least as long as I have known her.
Dad says its been even longer than
that. At least me gifts were better
than hers. I got some new chewie toys
and a box of treats. All mom got was
something called a necklace, its kind of
like a collar for people I guess.
I got an email from
Homer. He is another Jack Russell. He
lives in Georgia and has several of his
pictures on his dads website. It looks
like he gets to go a lot of neat places
with his mom and dad. Hiking and to the
beach anyway.

Hi Guinness. Welcome to the internet.
It has just been Dad and myself around the
house for the last week here. Mom got a new
job and is gone for almost a whole month for
training. First Cambridge, Ohio and then
Tennessee. That means that Dad and I have
made a mess of the house again. We have to
get it cleaned soon though, because mom will
be home for a couple of days before she
heads to Tennessee.
I have a new neighbor. His name is Brutus.
He is kind of confused though. He looks
like both a pug and a beagle. He is only
10 weeks old and all he likes to do is run,
jump, and bite my ankles when I am trying to
walk. Maybe when he gets older he won't be
so annoying.
It is less than two weeks to the BIG Pluto
parade. Gunny, good luck with your
costume. And all of the other Lazy Dogs
have fun.
And Guinness, your blog. BRILLIANT!

So all the Lazy Dogs are going to Pluto in a
couple of weeks. I thought that Pluto was from
Disney World. And Riley gets to go to Key West
before he goes to Pluto. Wow! Dad said he
might go too. I guess that it depends on
flights and accommodations. He told mom he
would sleep on the beach if it came down to it.
But, anyway the drawing of the float look really
neat.
So even if dad does make it down for Fantasy
Fest we and mom are coming down in January for
the half marathon. Are any of the other Lazy
Dogs going to run it?
Back to stuff around here. Today the whole
family took a little walking trip around campus
at Ohio State. It was great. There were so
many squirrels to chase. We watched the women's
soccer team and field hockey too. There were so
many people and I even wore my new Lazy Dog
bandana. I definitely made some new friends
today. I wish that dad would have brought the
camera today. I had so much fun that I wore
myself out and slept all afternoon.

Boy have I been busy lately. Even being a Jack
Russell and having all kinds of energy, I have been
worn out at the end of the day. Never to tired to
eat though. Mom says it is the Beagle in me and
that is why I like to eat(sorry Kodiak).
Today dad helped
me put in a new dryer vent on the side of the
house. We had to clean out the vent tube too. We
didn't find any missing socks though. Yesterday I
had to help mom mow. It has been great having her
at home more lately. But, when she goes back to
work it will be more time for dad and I to spend
together.
Mom and I got to
spend quite a bit of time together this weekend as
dad was out of town on another adventure. He went
bicycling in West Virginia. He didn't even bring me
a present but, I did steal his medal from the ride
though.

Wow these are the days that a dog dreams of. No work
for mom and dad, so they are home all day. We went to
the park until I got them tired out. It was hard work
but it helps them sleep better.
First we went and played in the water. That was a lot
of fun splashing around and trying to bite the fish and
the crawdads. There were also several kids playing in
the water today. They did not know how to splash to
good so I had to help teach them.
Next we went for a walk on the path. It was only about
three miles but we got to see a couple of different
animals. A real big dog with antlers, dad said it was a
deer. And a smaller dog that was red and white. Dad
said that was a fox. Then there were all kinds of
grasshoppers and other bugs to chase.
Then after a quick game of fetch it was back home. I
got a great treat today too. It is called Frosty Paws,
It is ice cream for dogs. Finally I got mom and dad to
take a nap, so that I could also take one myself.
Everyone out in Lazy Dog world have a great week at
work.
By the way how was the wedding?

Summer is almost over up here in Ohio. Dad and mom have
been so busy lately and I have been tagging along as much as
I can. I even tried to sneak in the car to go with dad to
work a couple of times. I'm not as lucky as all of the Key
West Lazy Dogs to be able to go to work everyday. Maybe
someday though.
Can any of the Florida
Lazy Dogs tell me a good place that I can stay? Mom and
Dada are coming to Key West in January to run the Half Shell
half marathon and I want to come along with them. I was
hoping to go to the beach and the doggie paddle if you will
still be doing that in January.
It is also time
for Fantasy Fest. What is the theme for this years float?
It will sure be hard to top last years float. Dad really
enjoyed that.
Have a great week
everybody.
Sunday, August 6, 2006
Last Saturday started out great a couple of walks and then mom
and dad packing up the car with a lot of things. Bicycles,
beach toys and even my food and toys. I knew that we were going
somewhere fun. We packed up the car and went to grandma's
house. I thought that grandma and grandpa were going too. Does
it get any better than this? Then it all went bad. Mom and dad
were gone before I knew it.
Mom and dad get the beach
and I get a week in Granville, Ohio. Mom and dad getting to go
kayaking and I get to go for a run with grandpa everyday. Mom
and dad get stay with all of dads family at the beach and I get
too, well that part is not to bad at least this way there was no
competition for attention and I did get spoiled all week. So
running five miles a day and playing as much fetch as I could
are a fair trade I guess.
Needless to say when mom and
dad got home yesterday I gave them the cold shoulder for about
half a second. Just long enough to let them know to take me
next time.

Gunny,
It is Daisy here. I was just checking to see if I could put my blog

Gunny,
Thanks for getting my collar to me so quick. Mom got to busy to stop by
and pick one up when she was down there. That is what she said any way.
She was probably at Fat Tuesday having mudslides though. Hope to see you
soon,
Daisy
P.S. I sent a
picture of me in my new collar.

Yep..Mom loaded me and the car up.(Good by South
Dakota) and hello Key West..It was a long trip..I stand
right in the middle of the two front seats..That way I
can make sure Mom keeps the car on the road..She some
times gets alittle mad at me because I fog here
sunglasses up..That's only when we go thru BIG cities
and she drives like a maniac..I start to breathe alittle
heavy.. But we make good traveling partners and I am
glad to be back..I get to play red ball in the pool
again..I am still trying to figure this Pluto thing
out..She drove right past Disney World..so we didn't see
Pluto there..I think it's much bigger then that..I heard
Mom say something about life support..?.. >R<
Friday, October 6th, 2006
O.K. I think this is it. We pulled out the boat and put it
inside this place. And Mom has a lot of bags and boxes
sitting by the door. This morning she was making up mini
packs of my dog food. And she has all my favorite toys
together (even red ball). This is serious. She has
been talking about
PLUTO. I am wondering if that is where we are going. I
heard her girlfriends say they would see us in a few
weeks. Then I heard Key West. Wish me LUCK !!! >R<
Wednesday, Sept 20, 2006
Hi Everyone. We went to the Deadwood Jam in the Black Hills. And
we saw Mount Rushmore. They were really big. But never smile.
Check
them out. I wanted to climb up there. But the park rangers
would not let me. But we hiked around the hills and had a great
time. We are heading back to Key West soon. It is getting cold
here. 29 last night. Mom said we get to do the Doggie Paddle. So
I am really looking forward to that. See Ya Soon >R<
Sunday, August 20, 2006
Hey Guys... I had a fun weekend... It was "Riverboat Days"
here... Guz was in town... He takes care of these huge
animals... Guz says they are Clydesdales... Well there is a
picture of them on those red and white cans... That uncle Chip
drinks... The ones I like to tip over and clean up the mess... I
think Guz is cool... He keeps all those big guys in line... He
was kinda tired after the long day....
Check
him out... And then Mom... Kissing one of them... Gee I
can't take her anywhere... Keep waggin'. >R<

Hot, Hot, Hot.... Hit the lake
man. It has be in the 100's. 107 today. We have been spending a
lot of time
on
the boat. I just love to beach hop. I get to run, chase
sticks, & explore. But sometimes Mom doesn't like my treasures I
find. She calls them stinky dead fish. The beaches are full of
those yummy cedar sticks. So I always bring my favorite one back
on the boat with me. When I get done playing. Mom drives me
around and we watch the sunset. Keep COOL! >R<
Tuesday, July 11, 2006
Wow front page with you and Tucker. Thanks Gunny! Happy 4th July
to you all! We had a major mission. We always put the lake to
sleep every night. Make sure everything is o.k. But the 4th of
July we had Invaders. They were shooting rockets everywhere.
Everyone on the boat was oooh - ahhh. They seemed to like them.
I felt safe and knew Mom would take good care of me. And uncle
Chip tipped a few of those red and white cans over. So I cleaned
them up. Man that stuff is tasty! >R<

Birds... Kittens... Rabbits... My yard is a zoo! No peace and quiet.
I am on patrol every minute. Oh

Hi Guys. Sometimes I wonder about my Mom. As we were driving up the
turnpike. She kept stopping and just handing people in these booths
money. They were very nice. But what's with that? We made a beeline
back. It was still a 2000 mile trip. Not many pictures taken. Mom
just drives like crazy. Here's a
picture
of me helping. Then just as I thought. Our hill was invaded while we
were in kW. Heard Mom say, two litters of kittens. And
look at
this doe. She has my favorite spot on the hill. She also has two
babies. Today we get to put the boat in the lake for the summer.
It's in the 80's. The lilac's and flax are blooming. And it is
green, green, green. I ate alittle to much grass lastnight. Looks
like a good summer.
Tuesday, May 9, 2006
Hi Guys. I know
it seems like all I do is watch TV. Guess I am a Lazy Dog. But did
anyone see Ellen the other day? She had a 7 foot Great Dane on. He
was awesome. Here's a
picture.
What do you think? Cool huh! Mom and I are heading back up to South
Dakota for the summer. It is so weird. Here I chase those little
gecko's around. Up there I have those deer in the backyard. Well,
I'll straighten them out. Tucker and Gunny I bet your having fun
being back together. Tails waggin! >R<
Tuesday, April 18, 2006
Last week I got to go on vacation to my Uncle Tim and Aunt Betty's.
They live here in Key West. Mom had to go to South Dakota. Grandma
got sick. Mom is home and said things will be O.K. Tim and Betty
were really nice to me. It was the first time I was away from Mom.
But they gave me the run of the house and yard. (They have beautiful
grass.) I tried to be a good boy. Mom said it was really cold and
stormy up there. She saw snow! I had fun on vacation. But glad Mom
is home. >R<
Monday, March 20, 2006
Boy have I been busy. Hanging with Mom's friends was hard
work. They go go go. I went almost every where they went. Lori is so
pretty and nice. She brought me organic cookie treats a lady up in South
Dakota makes. (Yummy) I saw her eat one. She would tell me I was very
handsome and give me one. And they played red ball with me by the pool
everyday. Well, time to watch "Animal Planet" my favorite TV
show. Life is Good..... <R>
Tuesday, February
28, 2006
Man. I had a bad week. Grandma left (so no more people treats.) Then I
think my Mom lost her marbles. She had someone come and put white rock
all over our front yard. ICK! Just when I was thinking of running away.
I saw her bring out the big silver box. She always loads it with lots of
ice. And these red and white cans. This means one thing. Chip and Pam
and friends from the lake up north are coming. Great we always get to go
for a boat ride. We always go out on the water when they come. I
miss my boat rides and playing on beaches. Maybe things won't be so bad
after all. If I am lucky I will tip one of those ice cold cans over.
That stuff is really good! Well I guess I'll be livin' The Life of
Riley again.
Friday, February
24, 2006
Hey...Anyone know when it is spring up north? All this company. I love
the people treats. But now mom's niece and boy friend are here too. Plus
two sisters. I am up to 2 runs a day. I lost my tummy my grandma worked
so hard to give me. And someone is throwing my red ball in the pool
every 5 minutes. These people come down from the cold north and just
want to go go go....Man, I like being a LAZY DOG!
Monday, February
13, 2006
Wow... When
I woke up this morning. I went outside to check the yard out. Then I
started wondering if I was a KING? First grandma comes to visit
and feeds me all those people treats! And now Mom has two of her
sisters here. One takes me for a run along the beach every morning. The
other one plays with me and my favorite red ball. And they all love
to pet and hug me. Maybe that's where "The Life of Riley" comes in.
Wednesday, February 8, 2006
Fun day around the island. Water-Water-everywhere. The
first time I saw
it I thought it was really neat... Then my Mom took me out on the lake
back in South Dakota (Cool.) ... We could drive around on it and go to
beaches. Play with sticks....(oh I miss those cedar sticks) they are so
tasty. But in KW every where we go there is water around us. And salty
to! I think that's what makes KW an island. Boy I sure do love water.
Every
kind. Riley
Friday, February 3, 2006
Hi Gunny... Today I was watching TV with my grandma.....she likes that
Martha S. She had this bulldog that could skate board... He was really
good! I wanted to show you the
picture. I
think it's on her web site if you want to see it. Have a fun weekend....
Riley
p.s. I think my grandma drops that food on the floor for me... cuz
every time Mom leaves the room she always drops something right by me...
mom would be so mad... So I clean it up right away!

Hi, I'm Gunny... that's short for Gundagai!
I was born in Key West but named after a little town in Australia where
there's a famous statue of "The Dog on the Tucker Box", and that's how
my brother got his name, Tucker! I was adopted by my dad on September
8th, 2005, my two month birthday, and started my training immediately,
ha! Dad's pretty bossy. I have some big boots to fill cause
Camillo, the original Lazy Dog, is my predecessor. I hope you enjoy
my story as I grow up and experience and learn new things.

I took a road trip all the way to Delaware with the whole family.
Played in the surf at the beach in Delaware and Virginia, visited with
friends in North Carolina... but mostly drove a lot. Added some good
pictures to
Tallulah's photo album. ~G

Things are getting really exciting in the Lazy Dog cyber world these
days! My dad and some other computer nerds (Tucker's dad, Richie, and
Mike Mack) are in the process of redesigning the entire Lazy Dog group
of online websites into one fun interactive site where members can
create their own pages and profiles, profiles and journals for their
favorite pets, upload pictures and video, participate in online games
and adventures, communicate via messaging and online discussion boards,
etc, etc... this is gonna be fun! The online
discussion board is already
live... check it out! ~G
Tuesday, July 4th, 2006
Happy Fourth of July everyone! Hey Riley... welcome to the front page bro! You got bumped up to the front because you make the most frequent blog entries! It's been raining alot in Key West for the past three weeks or so. I like to just stand out in it and get wet. Bonny hates the rain and won't even go out to pee... girls have strong bladders. Me and Bonny both have gotten much better at swimming pools... let me explain: At the beach we run straight into the water and crash about and go crazy, but we were a little more afraid of swimming pools and required a little coaxing to get in. Now we like to jump straight in and swim around without any persuasion... I hope Tim and Betty don't get mad when they read this! My dad's pool will be finished soon and it's gonna be the mack daddy of all pools, a doggie's dream on a hot summer's day. ~G ps. my little sister Tallulah keeps getting bigger and noisier... and stinkier and hungrier and lickabler (hmmm... is that a word?) Wednesday, June 14. 2006
Wow so much has happened since my last entry! I spent the whole day
at Key West harbor on Memorial Day while my dad participated in the
Minimal Regatta. I wanted to get in the boat with Dad, but in the
end I watched the race with my brother Tucker.
I played in a golf tournament with my dad and
Kodiak's
dad... actually Dad played but he snuck me onto the golf course! Someone
took a good
picture of me in the golf cart.
Just this past weekend I spent the whole day on the water while we
monitored the annual
Swim Around Key West. It was really rough on the water, and at first
I was a little scared, but by the end of the day I was all the way up
standing on the bow striking a heroic pose with my nose in the wind!
Someone send Tucker an email and tell the lazy mutt to make a blog
entry! ~G
Tuesday, May 23, 2006
I'm keeping my eye's open for Lazy
Daisy's mom this week. She's gonna be in Key West visiting.
It's great having my brother here! We tear it up almost every day!
There'll be lot's of pictures of us all over the web site soon. ~G
Friday May 12, 2006
My brother Tucker is back in Key West! We were both pretty overjoyed to see each other! I've been all over the place since my last blog entry... Miami three times, sleeping in hotel rooms... me and Dad got thrown out of this one Hotel and told not to come back cause I snuck into the breakfast area... the manager wasn't a very reasonable person and he and my dad exchanged some words. In Opa Locka at Tropical Embroidery, there's this girl named Nay who I freak out every time I visit there... oh and another lady there that I like to bark at and terrify her! My grandparents were here for a visit but they were alot more interested in Tallulah than in me! We got a bunch more new shirts in the store too so check it out... ~G Wednesday, April 19th, 2006
So myspace.com is making big news all over the place. It seems to be
all the rage with everyone from young kids (over 18 of course... yeah
right) to young adults, professionals and old geezers. Well what they
didn't tell you on the news is that there's a secret canine cyber
society (SCCS) that has infiltrated the myspace cyberworld! I humbly
claim some responsibility in the promotion and propagation of this
underground muttly movement. Okay, when I got there I found a
pre-existing population of dogs communicating via internet, but I
have attempted to rally them... gather them to me if you will and keep
our motives true and pure. Okay, that's a bunch of crap too... I have
tried to invite as many celebrity friends to my space as I can... okay
that's our MO... dogs and celebrities! So if you have any interest in
what I've been rambling on about, visit my page at
myspace. ~G

A Baby! A Baby! Mom and Dad brought home a baby girl named
Tallulah!
Wow, what a week! First me and Bonny got left at home alone for two
nights... I was very unsettled and didn't know what was going on. Dad
came home for a little while each day, and finally on the third night he
came home real late and slept there for just a couple of hours. Then on
Sunday Mom came home with Dad and they had a little miniature person
with them! Me and Bonny aren't allowed on the bed anymore...
~ G
Saturday, April 1st, 2006
Last week Sue was out of town so Dad and I drove the van that picks
up kayakers from the cruise ships. We were very busy and worked very
hard and I got to meet lots of dog lovers who wanted me to sit on their
laps in the van. Then Dad picked our new truck on Wednesday... it's a
Silverado and has a sun-roof and lots of other cool things. He says it's
our truck 'cause dogs love trucks! Mom's
tummy keeps getting bigger... Dad says our lives are going to change
soon...
~ G
Friday, March 24, 2006
I got an email from Pecorino and Toni Anzenberger! Wow! They're
celebrities! Pecorino is like a European Supermodel! They thanked me for
putting a link to their gallery and also said that I was very handsome.
Thanks Pecorino and Toni, I'm very flattered! Hmmm... maybe I have a
future as a model too...
~ G
Thursday, March 23, 2006
Today I spent almost the whole day at my old house which is a big
construction site right now. Dad and some workers were "shooting the
pool." That means they put the concrete in for the new pool in our
backyard, and now it really looks like a pool, and there's a shallow
area for me to hang out too. Dad says it's the Beach area, or dog pool,
or baby pool. I got a little muddy.
~ G
PS sorry, Kodiak, no ducks...
Wednesday, March 22, 2006
Wow, the weeks really fly by! This week Dad ran me over with his
bike. I get really excited when we go bike riding and we do it all the
time cause Dad's truck got lost in Hurricane Wilma and it hasn't been
replaced yet. I was running next to the bike and biting at Dad's foot
while he kept yelling, "Stop!" and I didn't see the fire hydrant and I
almost ran into it but jumped out in front of the bike instead and Dad
hit the brakes and me and almost flipped over his handlebars. It didn't
hurt real bad and I still ran home but then later I was really stiff and
I limped for two whole days. Dad said we're getting our new truck next
week. I'm really excited.
Have you seen pictures of the famous dog Pecorino? He's famous all over
Europe and has his own
online gallery.
He has books of photos of him too. Tucker and I will be that famous
one of these days! ~ G
Wednesday, March 15, 2006
I got a nice email back from Mike and Lolene from Michigan who went
fishing with Capt Ryan. They sent some cool photo's from their trip and
one of Boo-Boo
and Jake who like kayaking too.
Last Saturday, we played in a softball tournament that lasted all day.
In between games I got to chase softballs on the field. I don't think we
did very well cause there were a lot of games after our last one was
over. Then we stayed up till two thirty in the morning playing darts at
Don's Place and Dad kept saying he wished Richie and Tucker were there.
Then on Sunday we didn't get out of bed until like noon. Dad spent the
next two days looking for his wallet and his cell phone. I wonder he'll
be mad that I told everybody this?
Saturday, March 4, 2006
This week I met some really nice people that went out fishing on our
boat with Capt Ryan. They told me they had a great day and caught lot's
of fish. A big shout out to my friends in MICHIGAN! ps. email me some
pics from your trip.
Today was fun. I spent the whole day at the Key West Boat Show and
met lots of friendly people and a bunch of cool dogs too. This one dog,
I think his name was Jake, we chased each other around on a boat ramp,
in and out of the water and rolled around in big piles of seaweed. Then
dad hosed me off and I chased the spray from the hose around for the
first time ever, just like Camillo the original Lazy Dog used to (so I'm
told) ~ G
