So if you haven’t noticed already I am a very slow blogger.  I tend to do most things slowly anyway, you should see me dawdle my way over to my mum when she wants me to come.  Although the other day I almost got left behind when Dave and Mum were driving away in the truck.  I had to run almost to the end of the street to catch up with them.  I think they hope it’ll teach me to do what I’m told.  I’ll see if I let them be right about that.

So today I am hanging out with my Auntie Sue and Molly at the flag football tournament.  I was there the other day too.  I think the best part was riding over in Auntie Sue’s car.  When I am working at the store I can hear her pull up (it might be her brakes) and wag my tail and squeal in anticipation.  I love riding in cars and riding on boats.   It’s been a long time since I’ve been out on a boat though, my mum’s friends usually take me with them even if she can’t go, but I guess they’ve all been busy lately.

My mum doesn’t do as many fun things these days.  I hope she’s not getting sick.  She is getting fatter though and tends to rub her belly a lot.  Maybe she has a stomach ache.  I get those sometimes too.  I just eat grass and then I feel better.  Maybe I should offer her some.

Well, it’s time for another nap.  I think I’m the only one of us Lazy Dogs that is truly lazy (except when me and Gunny play).  You should see what I can sleep through at the store.  I think my mum gets a bit embarrassed sometimes when I don’t even open my eyes when nice people pet me,  but I didn’t ask them to and plus I need my beauty sleep.  ZZZZZZzzzzzz

Feliz Navidad!  Some day I’ll let my mum know that the reason I don’t listen to her is that my human language of choice is Spanish not English, but I’ll let her suffer for a bit longer.  So I got one of those holiday socks too filled with toys that are supposed to be indestructible, but I know they won’t hold up to my jaw and choppers.  I can chew through anything if I put my mind to it, but I restrict myself to toys, to my mum’s relief I am sure.  Me and Mum had to work this morning and I am wearing my red bandana with my name embroidered on it made by my Grandma in California.  It looks quite festive, but I’d rather be home wrestling with Gunny and hoping some of that Christmas ham comes my way.  Ay, Dios Mio!  I just realized I haven’t told you who I am really.  Down here in Key West most people know who I am because I got stolen last year and I was in the local and Miami newspapers and news channels, but the rest of you out there may not know my story.  I picked out my new mum, Fiona, when she came to the border collie rescue center I was staying at temporarily.  My first home was in Georgia, but my parents there didn’t really know how to take care of me so I was taken away and brought to the rescue center in Delano Beach, FL.  I arrived with the name Dottie, cuz of the black spot on my butt, but the rescue center lady renamed me Cookie (cuz I’m so sweet??).  Then after only a week there Fiona arrived with her friends.  I played it cool and didn’t jump all over her like the other dogs, I knew I’d win her over with that, plus who can resist my cute face…So Fiona took me home to Key West and gave me another new name, Bonny Lass.  It’s Scottish for “pretty girl”, quite appropriate I thought.  Well, it’s time for another nap, no use in straining myself.  I’ll tell you more later.  Hasta la proxima.

CHUCK

Tuesday, May 30, 2006
HI!  My name is Chuck and I live in Michigan.  I was reading about you guys and I really want to meet you one day.  I think it's cool to go to work with your person.  When I was a baby, I got to go to work with my Mom every day.  It was fun, but it was an office and sometimes they aren't so much fun.  My Mom says she is going to enter your  contest for a job and maybe, if she wins, we will move to Florida.  That would be the best!  I really like the sand and the water.  One time when we were at Lake Erie, I ate too much sand.  I was young then and so naive.  I wouldn't do THAT again.

I have one sister, a lazy cat named Molly.  She is mostly fun to play with, but sometimes she can be mean.  I just don't get that.  I mean, all is do is pull her hair and lick her ears and the next thing I know she tackles me.  CATS!

I will write more later.

SHORTY

Sunday, January 8, 2006
God, that's a handsome picture of myself. New Years Resolution;  make a calendar, every month featuring a personal glamour shot of myself. A few ideas have come to mind for the months and correlating pictures. Here they are:

January: Me, swimming in a hot tub of champagne with a human bikini super model holding me.  Also there would be other bikini super models in the champagne hot tub.

March: Me, Kite surfing at Smathers beach. In the background, there would be a lot of women staring at me.

July: Me, riding a red, white, and blue lit firework. Fireworks exploding in the dark sky behind me.

August: I'm standing on Smathers beach wearing a yellow rain coat. Rain is blowing horizontally and waves are crashing behind me. I'm holding a microphone reporting the whipping winds.

October: My cute little head is sticking out of the top of a carved pumpkin. The carving says "Boo! I'm so hot I'm Scary"
