Key West locals Sue Cooper and Peter Green sign with Quaker Media to develop Lazy Dogs’ “Win-A-Job” contest into a reality TV series!

Key West, FL –Key West’s Sue Cooper and Peter Green sign a deal with Quaker Media to develop Lazy Dog’s “Win A Job in Key West” contest into a reality television series.  Quaker Media, led by Pat Croce and Tim Chambers, specializes in developing, producing and financing media and entertainment ventures.

“Win-A-Job”, the brainchild of Peter Green and Lazy Dog co-owner Sue Cooper, initially conceived the internet-based competition to attract innovative and energetic employees to Key West. Lazy Dog’s online job application asks the question – “Why should Lazy Dog hire you?” Applicants submit a 300-word essay as the basis for selection. The winner will receive a $75,000 salary and free use of a million-dollar tropical home for one year.

The contest quickly generated buzz from across the country. It also attracted the interest of Key West resident Pat Croce, a majority partner in Quaker Media.

According to Mr. Croce, “This has the makings of a great reality series. Lazy Dog basically built the perfect reality TV framework for us, with their “Win a Job” contest. All we have to do is follow the human drama until that one lucky person wins a dream job in paradise.”

“We’re thrilled about the idea of a reality show - it’s a perfect fit with the Lazy Dog vibe” said Cooper. “This gives us a great opportunity to show the world why Key West is such a great place to live and a great place to work. And Quaker Media’s an ideal partner for us – they obviously have the talent and the track record to make this happen, and we already know Pat loves living in Key West as much as we do”.

Pat Croce is a nationally recognized motivational speaker and former owner of the NBA’s Philadelphia 76’ers. Croce just launched two new ventures in Key West - the Pirate Soul Museum and the Rum Barrel Bar & Restaurant. Croce also recently formed a partnership with Donald Trump to develop a casino in his hometown of Philadelphia.

Tim Chambers, Croce’s partner in Quaker Media, is an experienced entertainment executive, with 18 years in the film, television, and technology industries.

Cooper has also partnered with freelance producer Jim Brennan, who just completed a season working on “Dog The Bounty Hunter”; A&E’s highest-rated original series.
